When it comes to eating organic fruits and vegetables, if you can afford it, it is very important to buy certain things that are organic. Those are usually the things that are heavily sprayed that often contain a lot of water and don’t have thick skin… think berries, peaches, apples, these are really heavily sprayed.
But fruits that we don’t really need to worry about are things where we peel the skin. So bananas are one of my favorite things to buy conventional because you kill the skin and you eat the middle. Pineapples, are also a fruit that you can eat that’s conventional, oranges are safe for conventional.
Avocados don’t waste your money on organic – when you are throwing out the skin and it’s a fairly thick skin, that’s a good idea to go for conventional.
