A healthy breakfast on the run has never been easier. We just found and are totally obsessed with the new Oster MyBlend which lets you blend your favorite frozen fruit smoothie right into a 20oz plastic sports bottle (now you don’t have to clean your blender!). We recommend making your breakfast or snack smoothie with the following proportions:
- 2 parts frozen fruit(we prefer berries): a variety of color will help you get an array of vitamins!
- 1 part 0% Greek yogurt: adds a protein boost to keep you full until lunch and calcium to build strong bones
- 1 part coconut water: a low cal and tasty way to liquify your smoothie and add electrolytes (great for a post-workout breakfast smoothie!)
- 1 Tbs Chia seeds (found at Whole Foods or your local health food store): packed with calcium, fiber and omega 3!
